WHAT WE DO IF YOU ARE LOOKING TO BUY A SECONDHAND RETRACTABLE SEATING SYSTEM
For purchasing a used/secondhand seating system, take a look at the time lapse video showing the retractable system that went from Kent to Hampshire November 2025. That was bought under a UK charity gifting scheme and so was tax-efficient for both parties.
Actual equipment buy cost (ie excluding transport / installation etc) was in the region of £500 or £750.
Of course, buying used is completely negotiable (with cost often depending on urgency/timescale). From my experience, the highest value purchase in 15 years was £10,000 lowest was FREE. Most are negotiated down to around £500+ to £2,000 sometimes £5,000.
COST BREAKDOWN
The costs you need to factor in include: Buy Cost £ to the seller | Dismantle | Transport from and to your venue | Erection H&S certificate from qualified seating company valid for 1 year. Onward you need to get it certificated annually.
The time lapse video example cost a TOTAL of £10,000+ vat.
So you should be budgeting between £9k to £15,000 max whatever you enquire about on this website.

Seating 106 (plastic unpadded seats)
It is bolted to the REAR wall via its rear legs and if you purchase rear rails can be manufactured easily.
The unit is missing a face panel to the bottom step (we do have the original panel but it is snapped)
Also all the weighted curtain sides are gone and can easily be dressed with black drapes or similar.
